As a divorced pastor of an evangelical church, author Marshall Pryor was broke and broken, and then thrust into a world of politics and power where he saw a culture of chaos and contradiction. He tells his story to help bring others to Christ in his new book, "Write It On My Heart: Speaking the Truth in Love" (published by WestBow Press).
"This is a real, vibrant journey into real life experiences without holding back going along to get along," Pryor says. "Power and government is not the answer. Amid chaos and brokenness, I realized that there is not an hour that He is not with us!"
An excerpt from "Write It On My Heart":
It didn't matter. I was broken... and broke, spiritually and financially crushed, rock bottom. Who cared! Oh, I know some people cared, but who's going to pay my bills? Who would ask me to pastor another church, single with two young kids? Oh, I knew the members wanted me to stay, but quite frankly, I was just too tired. I didn't know how to accept compassion. I was the one who was supposed to show kindness and empathy, not the other way around. My pride wouldn't allow me to let people know that I was financially upside down. Chaos and contradictions do not confuse the bloodwashed!
