Mark Wilson Stockman confesses that he used to feel like God had given up on him. Then an awakening led him to see how God has been there for him all along and that God has done far more things than the author gave him credit for. As Stockman shares his story of seeing God's love in action in his life, and through studying the Scriptures, he urges readers and points them to the one and only God who will enable his children to run "The Second Mile" (published by WestBow Press).

Stockman declares that God has taken, and continues to take, multiple steps to demonstrate his love and care for all humankind, even toward those who oppose him. Through the lens of the Word of God, the author shares to readers how God has reached out to him countless of times. He also shows people how their self hinders them from coming to (or returning to) God.

A book that empowers and builds faith, this testimony allows readers - both believers and unbelievers - whose faith has hit an all-time low, to seek comfort in God and to return to him. God, as Stockman has continually witnessed in his life, is always there ready to forgive and love people who come to him. God never turns his back to those who faithfully call on him.

"There are those who think they have done things so terrible that God could not possibly love them any longer. If you think that God hates you or is somehow disappointed in you, you're wrong! He has repeatedly gone out of His way to prove how much He cares for you," Stockman reminds readers. "This book is dedicated to those who feel that they have gone beyond the limits of God's love and forgiveness, and is written for believers and unbelievers alike."
