Houston
According to Marie Jones, she started jotting down notes and thoughts to get her frustrations out from her ex-husband who is allegedly stalking her. She mentioned that after constantly getting emails, packages and his sudden appearance at her home, she decided to write and share her story.
"Stalking Is Not Love" (published by Xlibris) follows the story about her tiring journey of being stalked by her ex-husband since she left him three years ago. The alleged stalking has not ended and it is a continuous battle for her. Her ex-husband refuses to move on with his life and invents reasons as to why Jones left. She is drained and has to keep herself uplifted for her kids. Her divorce has been final for over a year.
"I think in today's society, women and even men that are going through similar situations are not speaking out. They may want help but do not want the "embarrassment" they think will accompany their story. There are people that are killed every year behind this same issue of stalking," says the author.
In "Stalking Is Not Love, the author wants people to see and feel the reality of such a situation and for them to show compassion and support to someone going through such a difficult situation. She believes every victim needs an occasional support system and by sharing her story, she hopes to help others that are going through similar situations.
