Celebrated poet and artist Maricela Loaeza draws inspiration from real-life situations - living, dreaming and loving. In her newest book of poetry, "Sowing Dreams: Sembrando Ilusiones" (published by Abbott Press), Loaeza refuses to let her faith and dignity as a woman perish in revealing the human condition of love through her poetry.

"Everyone has fallen in love at least once in his or her lifetime," says Loaeza. "Love is never out of date."

An excerpt from the poem, "The Tranquil Sea":

"I am the fury of the raging storm
and I revel in the peace of your life's path.
Yet, I'm no longer the tempestuous sea,
I'm now the serene water that forgot its wrath!"

Loaeza hopes to inspire readers to "never let hope die and to never give up".
