Margaret Routcliffe Renews Marketing Push for 'They Called Me The Cat'

In her new novel, Margaret Routcliffe "They Called Me The Cat" (published by Trafford Publishing), which is launching a new marketing campaign for 2014, narrates the emotional and compelling story of one woman's struggle to claim her birthright.
Stephanie McConnell was sent to live with her aunt and uncle when her twin siblings came down with a rare disease from Africa. While there, Stephanie learned to be a champion equestrian rider and, through making enemies, discovered the seeds of her birthright - control of a palatial mansion and estate.
Soon Stephanie is taken from this luxurious lifestyle and sent back to her family. She becomes a model for her boyfriend, Tom, and becomes known as The Cat in both the modeling and photographic worlds. After being assaulted, she changes careers again, becoming an attorney. In all of these things, Stephanie - The Cat - uses her skills to survive, just as if she had nine lives.

"They told me that when I was born on that cold, wet Friday the thirteenth, that I was special, although I never quite understood why. They said that anyone who was born on Friday the thirteenth was lucky. However, on the night that I was born there was the brightest full moon that they had ever seen, especially in March."

About the Author
Margaret Routcliffe has dabbled in poetry, photography and drawing. She found that when she was writing "They Called Me The Cat," the book actually seemed to possess her until it was finished. She loves taking nature photography and can lose herself behind the camera.
