In her first book of poems, The Pearl of Great Price: Spiritual Poetry to Lift the Soul (published by AuthorHouse), Margaret Peterson takes readers on an unforgettable journey of the heart, soul and spirit. With this collection, she hopes to help others find joy, hope and light even the midst of life's difficulties.
Peterson's love for poetry started when she was a teenager. She reveals that she was moved to write spiritual poems three years after she turned her life over to God. Her work is a reflection of her faith and love and sets an inspiring example to her readers. As Sally E. Stuart, founder of the "Christian Writers' Market Guide" wrote, "Poet Margaret Peterson sees God in all that surrounds her each day and brings Him into focus for her readers through her poetic responses to His love and care."
With her unique literary voice and a series of captivating, fully-colored photographs, Peterson guides readers through the highs and lows of life. In the undercurrents of this poetic journey are the majestic truths that God's faithfulness is unwavering and His grace sufficient.
Compelling, immersive and inspirational, The Pearl of Great Price celebrates God's love and grace while encouraging others to experience these in their own lives. It is a beautifully wrought testament of the ways poetry can touch hearts and transform lives.
