In "Fragments of an Afternoon: Fragmentos de una tarde" (published by iUniverse), author María Victoria Carreño Montás' new collection of poetry, readers are treated to poetry in "simple, transparent verses, poems that evoke the reflection of one's own daily living, poems that allow readers to easily identify with the content they are reading," says Montás.

The book is meant to become a window in which the parameters of reason are shattered. It is the author's hope that this will allow readers to enter a world of dreams that takes them inside themselves. With each theme readers find themselves upon, they become immersed in a warm, mind-bending feeling of nostalgia that will take them through their past lives and greet them with life anew.

"It is my desire that readers become encouraged throughout my poems to, themselves, write and discover the simplest form or reason to create verses," says Montás.
