Following the successful release of "The Water Tower," author MP Ashman returns to the world of science fiction with the second book of the Time Twins series. "Cascade" (published by Xlibris AU) continues the story of the doppelgänger twins Chase and Stacey Stevens and their struggle with a mysterious, seemingly paranormal illness.

Chase and Stacey are not typical twins. Although they share very identical traits - hair color, eye color, telepathy and telekinetic powers - they are not related. In fact, they are the same person: Chase is Stacey's doppelgänger twin from a parallel Earth. They use their special abilities to keep themselves out of trouble. But their secret is challenged as things begin to take a mysterious turn.

Chase's powers and emotions become erratic. When Stacey follows suit, the two girls find themselves continuously at odds. As they become increasingly temperamental and ill, their first instinctive conclusion is that something paranormal is behind it. Little do they know that their uncommon problem has a much more common cause. What could be the mysterious illness that troubles the twins? Can the two of them figure out what is going on without revealing their secret to the world?

Riveting and immensely entertaining, the peculiar story of the Stevens twins offers a concoction of thrill and mystery that appeals to fans of both fantasy and science fiction. It also reveals an insightful characteristic of the twins and that despite their otherworldly uniqueness; they are also as innately human as everyone else.

About the Author
MP Ashman debuted in 2012 with "Black Hollow," a fantasy fiction novella about Jessica Bannerly, a girl who believes herself to be far from special, until she is whisked away into a magical kingdom, where an ancient wizard believes her to be his only way of escaping a mystical prison. This was followed, a year later, by "Black Hollow Part II," in which the wizard uses Jessica's best friend, Ciara and her brother, Justin, to finally win his freedom. In 2014, Ashman turned to science fiction, with the novella "Time's Child," following Nina Sumner, a technophobic 21st century teen who discovers that the life she has is not the one to which she belongs. With "The Water Tower," Ashman begins a whole new saga in the Time Twins science fiction series for young adults. MP Ashman lives in Toowoomba with his family, including his cat, Prue.
