Frozen shoulder is a condition characterized by inflammation, extreme pain and loss of movement. It is more common in women and those over 40 years of age. This painful condition is difficult to treat, interrupts sleep and often costs the consumer more money than it needs to. Seeking medical consultations and therapeutic services can be costly, unsuccessful and time consuming. Author Lynn Varcin proposes a new self-healing solution to save time, money and further pain in her new book, "Unlocking Frozen Shoulder: A New Paradigm of Treatment" (published by Balboa Press).

Varcin proposes a new causal relationship between this particular shoulder condition and emotional trauma, hormone weaknesses and an imbalance or subtle upper-limb weakness, usually from lack of self-care. Current societal trends toward self-awareness and self-help make this book a great tool of strategies that can be used alone or in conjunction with medical appointments.

"The easy to apply movements and ongoing exercise routine outlined in the book are designed for busy people on a tight budget and is a must for anyone suffering shoulder pain," says Varcin.
