Just as nature goes through drastic changes, people do as well.
Laurel Stanell believes that we must embrace life changes as part of God's plan. Her book, "Early Morning Walks With God" is a compilation of short stories and personal insights gained from daily treks through the vast landscape near her North Carolina home.
Stanell feels a strong connection to God whenever she is alone in nature. She stresses that God created every aspect of nature, as well as every human for a purpose.
"It is our responsibility to fulfill God's purpose for our life," says Stanell. "Just as nature is constantly fluctuating, we are as well. Every person goes through new 'seasons' in their life."
Through casual conversation, Stanell has found that people enjoy relating thoughts about God's handling of nature's changes to his helping humans with their own trials.
"The short, sufficient entries in my book expand upon the promises that God has bestowed upon his people," says Stanell. "My observations on nature's beauty, ever changing weather and the daily trials of neighbors provide inspiration for those seeking help with transitional life periods."
