In "Enter Ye in at the Strait Gate: The Fate of Mankind Foretold" (published by iUniverse), which will be featured in the upcoming 2014 Los Angeles Festival of Books, author Louis A. Kelsch outlines the core principles taught by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in an effort to encourage readers to reexamine their faith and eternal souls in preparation for the end times.

"I am deeply concerned for us mortals," says Kelsch. "Our obsession with the here and now does little for the 'spiritual man' and tends to diminish the eternal aspects of our souls. One may be pleasantly surprised to find how rewarding the care and nurturing of our spiritual selves can be."

Written candidly, "Enter Ye in at the Strait Gate" delves deep into the key principles that make up the Latter-day Saints (LDS) Church. Kelsch compares the church layout originally set up by Jesus Christ to the modern LDS Church, examining key texts such as the New Testament and the Book of Mormon.

Kelsch urges readers to repent and come to Jesus Christ. His writings reveal God's plan for salvation and what one can expect from being a member of the LDS Church.

The 2014 Los Angeles Festival of Books showcases books and authors from around the globe. The two-day event will begin on April 12th, 2014 at the University of Southern California campus. More information can be found at events.latimes.com/festivalofbooks/.
