Local author Loretta M. Green-Warren recently signed a contract with Tate Publishing to publish her second riveting, adventure-filled children's book, "Chyna's Adventure with Pleasant Pete."

"Chyna's Adventure with Pleasant Pete" shares an adventure like no other in which Chyna and Miss Penny were not prepared for the surprise they encountered when she enters her secret place. Will Chyna have the courage to help Pleasant Pete save Ratsville from Chubby and the mean cats?

Warren's imaginative style combined with her experiences of motherhood served as inspiration for the unique story. "My inspiration for this book stems from being a child with a very active imagination then having the privilege of watching my own children use their gift of imagination. This inspired me to want to share the power of imagination with all children," shared Warren. "After writing the first book, Chyna's Secret Place Adventure, the character had more adventures to share therefore Chyna's Adventure with Pleasant Pete came to me less than one year after the first book's release."

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book will be available upon its release through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Warren is the host and producer of an online radio show and an amateur photographer. She has spent most of her life surrounded by children. She is the oldest of eight kids and spent several years as a childcare provider.

The very first spark for Warren's love for poetry and writing came from reading Edgar Allen Poe's The Raven. She could see the story in her mind, which ignited a passion for writing like nothing she had experienced before. Warren is now a published poet and children's author and believes that there is nothing more important that God and family. She is a mother of five, is married to the love of her life and lives in South Carolina.
