When author Paul Lea's daughter told him about her planned mission trip to Haiti, he did not know how to react, especially when she said he would be joining her. But when she fell ill and could not make the trip, Lea decided to keep track of his journey, to share it with his daughter when he returned.
In his new book, "Live or Die: The Struggle to Survive by the People of Haiti" (published by iUniverse), Lea chronicles his nine-day visit to Haiti and the riveting stories he brought back with him.
Lea writes with extreme detail of the terrible conditions in which the children of Haiti live.
Through his narrative, readers will come to know the orphan children he met and the Haitian people who worked beside him.
Lea believes the real tragedy is the horrible living conditions of Haitian women and children and hopes this book will expose the problems of those suffering in Haiti.
