In a small seaside town, the Crysnix - advanced beings living in a parallel universe who have the power to bend time and grant wishes - look after their human neighbors. While witnessing the power of courage and forgiveness, they learn the value of humility and compassion in "Gifts of the Crysnix" (published by Balboa Press), the new novel by Lisa G. Shore.

"I wrote this book for kids who are on the brink of becoming adults to offer life lessons and for anyone who needs inspiration to listen to their gut instincts and believe in themselves," Shore says.

A story about choices, "Gifts of the Crysnix" explores living one's best life through positive intention. The story's protagonists, Elixir and Princess Amethyst, use forgiveness, humility and gratitude to turn their lives around and embrace their true callings.

Through her work, Shore hopes readers come away with the knowledge that "They have tremendous power over their lives if they fight the fear that holds them back."

An excerpt from "Gifts of the Crysnix":
"You must understand that everyone has special talents and gifts. You will find yours, and you will then realize your reason for living. Allow it to come to you."
