Nathan is a unique little boy with a friend named Billy who always plays with him. They both enjoy each other's company so much and do many adventurous things together.

"My Friend Billy", an illustrated picture book written by Lisa Ford, is based on a series of children books that tells the story of Nathan, a young boy who has Down syndrome. However, the focus of these books is Nathan's imagination and creativity.

After reading this book, readers will realize that Nathan's personality is what makes him so unique, not his disability. His adventures allow readers own creativity to soar and celebrate the fact that every being is an individual with something special to offer.

"My Friend Billy" will create an awareness of inclusiveness as the norm and manifest into a world vision. Author Lisa Ford's vision is that recurrent themes of inclusiveness, tolerances and appreciation for all will broaden the world's view toward anyone that may seem different on the surface.
