For Long Island residents looking for authors to do workshops and events, the website for Long Island Authors Group, LIAG is a must. Every genre featuring many interesting subjects by fascinating authors can be found there.
Frank, one of the featured authors on the LIAG website, loves the ease with which a reader can navigate the website, and find links to the author's website. Frank's website has goodies like lesson plans and her blog. Just click to find interesting and fun information. Lessons related to Annie's two adventures covering the Common Core are available here, including hands-on cooperative learning group activities.
Links to facebook pages like The Writer's Dream and Official Fans of The Madonna Ghost give every reader the opportunity to view the latest news from each author, as well as the LIAG's page on Facebook.
Many LIAG authors have appeared on Frank's local access TV show, The Writer's Dream, as seen on Youtube.
Starting by browsing the carousel of books on the home page, a simple click brings the reader to an individual book and its author. From there every author's website and information can be accessed, as well as the many and varied features they offer.
About Long Island Authors Group:
The mission of the Long Island Authors Group is to encourage, support and promote authorship, primarily in the Long Island, New York area.
We are a group of 70 local book authors who have joined together to conduct activities and events that add to the availability of our published works while promoting the Long Island writing community. Our group works with retail bookstores arranging book talks and signings, and conducts events at various locations that are open to the public.
Our group fosters knowledge and experience by conducting educational seminars on assorted topics such as writing workshops, marketing techniques, promotion strategies, and the use of emerging Internet outlets & new technologies. We meet on the first Wednesday of the month to enjoy dinner and a guest speaker.
