The International Book Project launched a new organization logo today. Along with an updated version of its name, the paper airplane logo is a fresh and updated take on the organization's mission.

"The new logo will help us to better achieve the mission started by Lexington-native Harriett VanMeter. Her desire was to see everyone receive free and equal access to knowledge. The new logo is an extension of that," said Chassity Neckers, Director of Development. The logo signifies that education is fun, empowering and uplifting; like a paper airplane. The organization believes that making learning look fun is half the battle. International Book Project believes that once a person is engaged and excited about what they are learning, they are primed for lifelong success.

The International Book Project always has been and will continue sending books to change lives and creating global partnerships in the developing world. Locally, the organization helps to partner central Kentucky schools with schools across the globe as they engage in a cultural exchange. These partnerships empower and educate tomorrow's leaders in a way that is fun and has the potential to affect them for the rest of their lives. With their new look, the mission of the International Book Project is more alive now than ever. The opportunities are endless, as the new logo will allow the organization to soar into the future.
