At the middle of this, the two agents discover another mystery, which intersects with their manhunt, and it becomes a race against time - with the lives of innocent bystanders on the line - when they realize that they have to understand the legend of the Nightbirds to catch the killer.

James' tale is uncompromising, cerebral and graphic. It is akin to a bullet train going at full speed, destined for a terminal and final destination of violence.
