ORANGE PARK, Fla., Oct. 17, 2016 /PRNewswire/ The newly published autobiography from Lauretta Eason (http://www.laurettaeason.com/) explores what it takes to persevere and keep one's faith in the face of unimaginable obstacles. In "Daughter of Sacred Steel," Eason describes how she survived a difficult childhood, only to transition into a more difficult adulthood. Ultimately, her faith in God gives her the strength to escape what could have been a deadly relationship, and to restore her family ties. "Daughter of Sacred Steel" is available in paperback and Kindle from Amazon.
Eason grew up in a strict and religious household a beginning that will likely be familiar to many readers. She learned to be quiet and submissive, and developed a strong fear of abandonment. As an adult, it was this fear that drove her unwittingly into the arms of an abusive, menacing monster.
"My story is unique," she says. "My ex-husband promised repeatedly to kill me and I believed him. I could have been the first of three wives he killed if I had not stayed connected spiritually with God. The book explains how I stayed hopeful and connected in spite of all that was going wrong with my life."
Eason was able to escape from her abuser. Terrified and pregnant, she reached out to the father she had not seen since she was a young girl. Her memory of him playing a Hawaiian steel guitar was a source of comfort in dark times and these were indeed the darkest of times. Today, the man Eason first believed was the love of her life now sits on death row, having been found guilty of murder.
"I want to thank everyone who takes the time to visit my site and read my autobiography," adds Eason."The book describes a few highlights of mylifeintendedto inspire and encourage faith, resilience and the valueof having a lifetime connectionwith God.I hope readers will enjoy the story andshare it withothers. All comments are appreciated, so I'm asking readers to post their reviews on Amazon I would be forever grateful."
