"In The Butterfly Kingdom There Is Love": a lighthearted children's story centered on adoption and the loss of a loved one.
"In The Butterfly Kingdom There Is Love" is the creation of published author, Laura L. Thompson. The inspiration for this book comes from the scripture verse Galatians 5:22-23, which is the fruit of the spirit. Laura's other inspiration for writing this book comes from her grandchildren in which they have given her many stories to write about. Laura has only recently discovered her God-given talent in writing children's books. This all came about quite innocently because of one weekend when she had her granddaughters sleep over for the weekend and forgot to read them a book for their bedtime story. Instead, Laura told her granddaughters a story that she had spontaneously made up in her head. After she was finished telling her bedtime story, her granddaughters pleaded with her to tell them another story. Laura, not wanting to disappoint her granddaughters, willingly complied. One of Laura's friends said that Laura should write children's books. Laura quickly dismissed the idea and then decided to give it a try, and Laura soon realized it came very natural to her. Laura believes that every child has value, worth, and that each and every child is special and unique, and they are a blessing from God. Laura is very excited to share this God-given talent by helping to teach children about themselves, others around them, and more importantly, about God and His love for them.
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Laura L. Thompson's new book takes a journey through the butterfly kingdom to see how the royal family of butterflies travels throughout the garden, helping others they meet along the way.
Thompson asks readers "Have you ever seen a butterfly and wondered to yourself, where is it going?"
Well, some say there is a beautiful garden and in that garden lives a royal family of butterflies that eat special fruit from a tree called the Blessing Tree that God has made just for them.
The inspiration for writing this book comes from scripture verse, Galatians 5:22-23, which is the fruit of the spirit-love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The royal family knows that God has given this special fruit to them so that they can be an example to others to follow God's ways and to help others that live in the garden to do the same.
In this story, Prince Joey, who is the son of King Monarch and Queen Alexandra, finds a little butterfly that is sad, lonely, and afraid. Prince Joey, who has eaten the special fruit and is filled with love, helps his little friend, Nicholas.
The main character, Prince Joey, who is featured in this story, is named after the author's grandson Joey, and she has personalized the butterfly to reflect him and the love that she sees inside him. If we sow seeds of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, we will always produce good fruit.
