Author Larry Taylor is the father of four sons and is a 25-year veteran of school administration. This experience helped him to understand how to communicate with young people. He used this knowledge to spread his faith to his children and now is spreading that faith to a wider audience with his new book, "Running with the Horses: A Parenting Guide for Raising Children to be Servant-Leaders for Christ" (published by WestBow Press), a practical and intentional plan to build strong families and to pass faith to the next generation.
"Running with the Horses" introduces readers to a simple, biblically based plan for raising servant-leaders for Christ. The plan follows the training model Christ used with his disciples. Taylor describes some of the challenges, trials and forces competing for the hearts of children and how to overcome them.
"Whether your child is 18 months or 18 years old, this book will guide you through the process of preparation for the race that awaits him in this world," Taylor says.
Having taught the principles outlined in his book for more than 12 years to hundreds of families, Taylor says his book will help parents prepare their child to not just survive in today's culture, but thrive with the discernment and the attitude of Christ. By following the plan he outlines, Taylor says that parents can raise their children to walk with Christ.
