When Philip and Linda Charlton decided to embark on writing what would become their Living with the Book series, they had clear goals. "We believe people tend to spend their time reading notes and commentaries about God's Word when the majority of their time should be spent studying God's Word itself," states Philip. "It's the Bible and not the notes that have the power to change lives."
In the series' first release, "Living with the Book: Matthew" (published by WestBow Press), the authors present a fresh, meaningful way for Christians to embolden their study of the book of Matthew.
Part study guide and part journal, "Living with the Book: Matthew" delivers poignant Scriptures from the first book of the New Testament and provides ruled pages for readers to record their thoughts, feelings and personal testimonies. Others in the series currently available are the books of John, Acts and 1 & 2 Peter, 1, 2 & 3 John and Jude. Luke, Mark, Hebrews and James are near completion.
Philip and Linda pour their extensive biblical studies training into each passage in the book, providing readers with valuable insight into the times and context in which the book of Matthew was written.
