A mesmerizing interplay of literary genres comes this way from author Will McClinton in Lineage. From occult and ancient powers to old money to world religions, this outstandingly original piece will surely engage readers until the pages thin down to the very end.
Ruggedly handsome Marc du Bois hails from a family of old money that can be traced as far back as 500 years ago. Howbeit, he is blithely unaware of this. Honest and trusting to the point of childlike innocence, he prides himself on his extraordinary speed and physique as a result of hard workouts over the years and martial arts training. As a third year architectural engineering major in Rochester, New York, Marc meets Camel Khalid, a happy-go-lucky rambling man. Standing at 6 feet and 4 inches, he is an expert of several forms of martial arts with an IQ so high that landed him amongst the top 5 percent of the world's most intelligent. These two college lads find their fates intertwined as well as that of their ancient families; their youthful innocence seduced by someone with abilities and powers that can slip away from the Most Almighty- a sorceress.
Within the covers of this smashing fantasy novel, readers will come to learn that family, friendship and love, in the end, are much stronger than almost any negative force. McClinton has certainly crafted a compelling read in Lineage.
