About the author

Dr. Reece has published over 80 pieces in peer-reviewed scientific publications and is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Western Australia. He is a pioneer in the Australian naltrexone implant treatment, an abstinence-based treatment for heroin, opiates, alcohol, and other drugs. Dr. Reece is a committed Christian and served as a missionary doctor in Papua New Guinea for most of 1984.
