Kurt M. DiClementi's recently completed fictional novel entitled "Laowai for Sale," (published by Xlibris) was written in the genre of realistic fiction, first-person omniscient. He believes that this book addresses the moral, financial and spiritual bankruptcy of the American people.

This story follows the experiences of four men who have been gripped with the realization that American politicians are incapable of administering their individual affairs or the affairs of their fellow human beings with justice and equality that arises out of selfless humanitarian concern. Through their experiences as teachers, the four men have learned from their students that love is the only answer to the dilemmas that beset the affairs of men and nations. They come to know and love China, not as the villain it has been portrayed to be by career Washington bureaucrats, but as a model for society that begins with a foundation anchored in the cohesive fabric of the nuclear family.

"This book will appeal to readers because it deals with current events in a comedic manner. It will keep them laughing as they see the ridiculous extremes that we have reached as a nation because we have allowed our differences to divide and weaken us and we have forsaken the traditions that made us great," DiClementi says. "It is not just another book about a teacher's anecdotal experiences teaching in China."

Presented as a narrative with elements of mystery, touching romance, tragedy, personal triumph and redemption, "Laowai for Sale" is a reflection of the capacity for inner peace through tolerance and an appreciation of the warmth there is in simple human relationships.
