Kylie Rae Chronicles Her Search for Gender Identity in IT'S NOT WHO I AM

The U.S. National Library of Medicine defines gender identity disorder as "a conflict between a person's physical gender and the gender he or she identifies as." Someone physically identified as a boy may actually feel and act like a girl, or vice versa, and may be very uncomfortable with the gender he or she was born in.
