Wanting to capture her feelings and experiences living with major anxiety and depression, Kristen LeCrone decided to write "My Doors: Becoming Unhinged with Anxiety and Depression" (published by Archway Publishing). In this personal account, she shares her feelings of loneliness and the fear that she would never get better. Providing hope to those in a similar situation, she also addresses what she had to do in order to turn things around.

"I hope that people with this disorder will read it and understand they are not alone and that they can recover and have a happy life," LeCrone says. "It also was written for people that don't suffer but have a loved one who does, so they might better understand what it is like to live with this disorder."

Sticking to a personal perspective of anxiety and depression, "My Doors" explores what it feels like to live with the diseases on a daily basis and how they impact every facet of life.

"It is a disorder that is impacting almost everyone, either through having it or knowing someone who has it."
