NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ Puggle In Pajamas www.puggleinpajamas.com stars Pete, a New York City Puggle who works from home inITthe reason he only wears pajamas.

The story takes the reader through a single, fast-paced day beginning at Pete's apartment in uptown Manhattan, on an errand race through New York City on to what is supposed to be a great steak dinner with his pals Dallie, Stella, Mickey, and Rudy.

However, one minor mistake alters the evening's grand plans in a major way.

Puggle In Pajamas is a children's picture book by genre, for readers age 9 and up. Though author Kristen Booth states:

"The story is written with some lighthearted allusions to entertain the grown-ups while they read to their childrenor to themselves. Puggle In Pajamas isn't exclusively for the younger lot. The central themes are friendship and positivity and not needing grand plans or lots of money to have a good timea concept most adults can appreciate." She then grinned and said:"Plus, the characters are so visually stunning!"

The author added that getting the lead character exactly right was top priority early in the process. Finding the perfect illustrator was paramount to this goal. After several months of searching, Jose Fragoso, a native of Madrid, Spain, landed the job.

He describes the experience: "I got a call from Kristen when I was already packingto come to New York! I felt it was a sign; here I was moving to the Big City and Pete was already there waiting for me."

On creating Pete, he said: "The main challenge with this project was creating a character that looked different from all the other dog characters out there; one who would make readers think: 'Hey, who is this cute little guy? And why is he wearing pajamas?' Plus, he's a New Yorker so he had to look smart and full of energy."

Pete took over four months to create and the character went through two dozen versions before getting the final approval.

Puggle In Pajamas is currently available in 8.5"x11" paperback. An eBook version is slated for later release date. Two sequels are also planned for future release.
