Kimberly Mitchell Pens 'Life Under Blankets'

"Life Under Blankets": an entrancing story about one woman's travels through the wilderness of anxiety and depression from an early age. "Life Under Blankets" is the creation of published author, Kimberly Mitchell, who earned her bachelor's degree in English education at the University of Illinois, Circle Campus in Chicago. She went on to pursue a master's degree in education in the field of curriculum and instruction. Kimberly's passion for writing came to life in the fourth grade when she wrote her very first story and was allowed to read it to her class. She thrilled her young audience with a short tale entitled "Being a Kid." She went on to convey her love of reading and writing by teaching middle school scholars in a large urban school district. Kimberly was a guest blogger on "The Truth Revealed", where some of her earlier works can be found. Her writing focuses on overcoming outrageous obstacles that might normally crush individuals under ordinary circumstances. The turning point in her life was when depression struck her, leaving her overwhelmed, fearful, and with feelings of worthlessness. It took her breath away! Kimberly fought the cruelty of depression, which in turn taught her how to help others with similar circumstances. Currently, she resides in Illinois with her three beautiful daughters and two persnickety cats.
