Dr. Seuss once said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

In her new book Walter and Mike Get Their Own Fun Park Pool to Play In, author Kathleen Morrissey shares a story from the perspective of both kids and alligators to take children on a thrilling venture.

"Nothing teaches children to respect our planet quite like the awe of animals," says Morrissey. "When we can't travel, reading shares the wonderful different human and animal environments."

Her book tells the story of two alligators who want to join the fun of kids playing in a pool at a resort hotel in Florida.

When they get more than they bargain for, the kids and alligators quickly learn to gain their parents' permission for and stay close to their family on new adventures.

Walter and Mike Get Their Own Fun Park Pool to Play In also emphasizes the need to provide acceptable habitats for wild animals.
