Khalid Mahmud Releases Detailed Book on Breast Cancer, KEEPING ABREAST

In his book, "Keeping aBreast: Ways to Stop Breast Cancer" (published by AuthorHouse), Khalid Mahmud revisits his lifelong experiences of being an oncologist. He draws upon real-life characters and their battles with breast cancer, putting together a bible for women to gauge the risks of breast cancer. The author hopes that the book will "help women deal with breast cancer, and ultimately imbibe timely strategies and methodologies to prevent the disease."
Breast cancer can scar a woman for life. It can make her insecure and vulnerable and this book aims to answer questions plaguing women about breast cancer, and more importantly the ways to deal with it.

"My main aim in writing this book is to help reduce the occurrence - or at least delay the onset - of breast cancer in women. I would like to see the day when only one out of 12 or 16, rather than one out of 8 women (the current American rate) develop this disease."
The book has experiences right out of Mahmud's life as an oncologist and is also based on scientific findings and literature.

Khalid Mahmud, M.D., F.A.C.P., is quadruple board certified Doctor in Oncology, Hematology, Internal Medicine and Anti-Aging Medicine. His earlier role was as the chief of medicine and medical director of Oncology at a major hospital.
