Petty believes that in today's technology and scientific discoveries, modern churches have played a large leadership role spiritually. But today, these churches are drifting far from the shores of the safe arms of the Lord and savior. The Holy Spirit is not leading in church services. In this generation, the cross of Christ is not being preached or presented. Petty says, that the only hope is to find His grace and mercy during this time of need.
"Most of what is happening in the world is due to the church lack of responsibility and lack of its seeking the Holy Spirit leadership. Coming to God's throne of grace and obtaining His mercy goes far than we will ever know if His people will seek His face our world would change," Petty said about the relevance of his book in today's society.
An excerpt from the book:
"The church seeks truth but misses hearing the voice of God speaking to them in the coalesced angry waves." How much truth does this passage speaks to us? God is always speaking to us, but how little do we hear His word.
