SWEETWATER, Texas - In her poignant, compelling new memoir, "Inside My Shadow Box" (published by Xlibris), author Kerrie Bullard chronicles her journey in life. She shares times of heartbreak and times of fulfillment hoping that her experiences may resonate with the reader. Through her story, she illuminates that there is a reason for everything - a reason for the predicaments one faces in life, a reason for meeting different people, a reason for being at a certain place at a certain time, and a reason for simply existing.
This powerful, emotion-stirring book allows the readers to feel as if they were alongside author Bullard as she writes of her many adventures as a child growing up in Sweetwater, Texas. She vividly revisits her past as a bride and mother at 17 years of age, as a woman who suffered at the hands of family violence and a cheating husband, as a police officer who was the first of her kind in the county where she worked, and as a state investigator working on cases that involved child deaths, and cases that lead to the FLDS raids that caused the arrest and imprisonment of Warren Jeffs.
This collection of memories and moments allows readers to walk through her shoes and witness the sad and precious moments in her life, allowing the reader to understand her thoughts on unsolved cases. "Inside My Shadow Box" is bound to stir the hearts and minds of readers as they experience the human side of a police officer and state investigator when it reveals to them how, although it seems like there is enough to bring one to justice, sometimes it is just not enough.

About the Author
Kerrie Bullard was born in Sweetwater, Texas, on December 17, 1957, to a middle-class family of four. Growing up, she had hopes and dreams just like everyone does - dreams of becoming a musician, a missionary, a writer, a nurse and a police officer. This powerful memoir reveals how she met all her goals.
She attributes her successes in life to the fact that even at the times when she left God, He never left her. She was once told by her grandfather to "never lose what God has given you to use," and she has lived by that standard throughout her life. She has a firm belief that because of his guiding hand, she has made it safely through the many journeys of her life.
