HANNA CITY, Ill.

Author Kelli Sue Landon takes readers on a time-traveling mystery back to the 1970s in her new novel, "Stranded in Time" (published by Trafford Publishing).

College student Samantha Harper knows nothing about her mother, Rebecca's, mysterious past. Rebecca died when Samantha was just 16 and Rebecca kept a tight lip about her past. Now tracing her family tree, Samantha gets the chance to tour her mother's elementary school in Illinois, but she soon finds herself on a much more in-depth tour of the past.

While in the school's eerie gymnasium, Samantha crosses over into the year 1975 when Rebecca is in kindergarten. A schoolmate of Rebecca's, Jossie Baker, dies a seemingly accidental death in the school's gymnasium, but what is an accident? Samantha must uncover this dark secret if she ever hopes to make it back to the present.

Landon weaves her own childhood memories of growing up in the '70s into the settings and events of "Stranded in Time." Through her book, she aims to capture the culture and experiences of the 1970s and send her readers on a thrilling mystery adventure.
