DEEPHAVEN, Minn.

A Medieval princess is chased out of her homeland by an evil king and must find a way to save those she loves in Katie Morton's new novel, "The Edge of Redemption: A Novel" (published by WestBow Press).

When the evil King Maurice of Alandar invades the neighboring kingdom of Aundria, the life of 17-year-old Princess Lorelle plunges into great peril. At King Norman and Queen Isabel's insistence, Lorelle escapes her home and boards a ship bound for the beautiful island of Julinar.

On board, Lorelle meets the handsome Sir James Wellington, who has sworn to protect her no matter the consequences. But King Maurice is relentless, and as his far-reaching grasp catches up with Lorelle, she must make the ultimate sacrifice to save her family, her kingdom and her newfound love.

Filled with romance and adventure, "The Edge of Redemption" offers a strong heroine who relies on her faith in Jesus Christ to guide her and help her forgive her trespassers. Morton hopes her book will encourage readers to look to God in times of trouble.

"I want readers to take hope away from my writing," Morton says. "This book shares how we can depend on God and find peace through His love. I hope that serves as an encouragement to readers."
