ATLANTA, April 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ Meet Atlanta's own AJ Johnson, author of Keeper of the Code, A Buckhead Tyrone Mystery. Keeper of the Code is the first in a series of Buckhead Tyrone(www.buckheadtyrone.com) mystery novels. Johnson will introduce guests to the opulent, chic and sometimes dangerous world of the Buckhead Tyrones.
The book centers on Chris Sampson, a savvy financier and member of the Buckhead Tyrones, an elite fraternity of wealthy and influential African-American businessmen. Like all good mystery reads, Johnson's story interweaves exceptional character development with intrigue, betrayal, and of course, murder.
To celebrate the release of Keeper of the Code, Johnson, in conjunction with Sandpiper in Vinings and the Highland Cigar Company are hosting a book signing at the prestigious Pace Academy in the Seaman Family Student Commons. The posh event is attracting a Hollywood favorite and some of Atlanta's most distinguished residents, including: The Honorable Ceasar Mitchell, President of Atlanta City Council; Steve Smith, retired NBA star and announcer; Brett Cullen, actor, producer, writer; Jason Carter and Michelle Nunn. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in an author Q&A with Johnson as well as purchase a personalized, signed book. All book sale proceeds will be donated to Hands On Atlanta, one of the largest community-based volunteer service organizations in the country.
When asked why throw such an elaborate party for a book signing, Johnson stated "As a proud member of the Atlanta community, it is important to show my gratitude for all the amazing support I received from my family, friends and neighbors. Their encouragement is an inspiration for which I want to say thank you."
