To inspire people, especially those who are challenged by disorder or disability, is the main purpose why author K.C. Smith decided to write and publish the book "Sacred Kingdom" (published by Xlibris AU). Smith, who is afflicted with a mental disorder, does not give up and relies on his faith and positive outlook in life to face the world.

Primarily, the book dwells on people with disorders/disabilities and how can they succeed at anything in life. With total commitment and focus, Smith believes that people who have disabilities may still end up as victors. Smith decribes himself as an average guy searching for love, happiness, and contentment, probably a soul mate. Although he admits that his mental disorder challenged his path forward to his ultimate goal, he never loses hope.

The book serves as the author's memoir; he also highlights the importance of his parents in his journey: Allan Smith and Jean May Smith. His parents were his role models and mentors in his formative years. "They prepared me for life; instilling stronger work ethic, determination, dedication, discipline, commitment, self-reliance, stronger family values," the author says.

An excerpt from the book:
Our disorders/disabilities can be managed and controlled so, in turn, we can lead normal and fruitful lives as well as be productive members of our societies. Hopefully, my anguish won't be in vain. Empower the people! Stimulate and inspire the weak into action! I hope this book fulfils its function!

"This book is relevant because it is about a average person who believes anything is possible if you have a positive mind set even if you suffer from a mental disorders or disabilities," Smith adds.
