June Arrington Wood Releases FALLEN IDOLS

June Arrington Wood marks her debut in the publishing scene with a fiction novel featuring "Fallen Idols" (published by iUniverse). Enthralling, eye-opening and evocative, this tale teaches readers the value of forgiveness and finding what it does when one learns to open their heart to God.

"Fallen Idols" charts the poignant journey of a young girl and her struggle for 15 years after being abused and raped by her youth pastor. Charlotte's experiences will offer readers a clear presentation of a sinner who truly desires redemption and forgiveness.

"There is so much of this thing happening even in the churches of today and it will help one to know what to do and where to turn for help," Wood shares. Inspired from her personal experience and education, "Fallen Idols" endeavors to impart to readers a better attitude towards their church but with an awareness to protect their children and also aims to move the reader's heart with this tale.

About the Author
One of 10 children, June Arrington Wood was raised on a tobacco farm. She graduated in 1961 from William Campbell High School in Naruna, Virginia, and then attended Columbia Bible College in Columbia. In February 1962, she married David Wood and they were blessed with four children, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. They started a church in Columbia in October 1965 and stayed there until January 1979. Their family then moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, and started another church and stayed until June 1984 when her husband offered his time for fulltime evangelism. They moved to Trenton, Georgia, in July 1991 and started an assisted living center for the elderly where she was the director for 12 years. The author enrolled in an online college from Louisiana Baptist University and earned her bachelor's degree in biblical education in 2010. Her family then moved back to Columbia in 2014 and are enjoying working in a small church and helping with the ladies ministry.
