After the successful publication of "Birth of the Lion", his first short story collection, on April 2013, author Joseph W. Gadbois returns too quickly with another bloodcurdling and bone-chilling compilation of short, breathtaking tales in The Lion Continues. This time, he presents 16 equally thrilling, absorbing and entertaining stories-the kind of narratives readers inhale in big midnight gulps that leave them half-awake the next morning.
In "Birth of the Lion", the readers followed the Lion's as he battles for survival and freedom and defies the strong forces of politics and government. The book reveals that people believing that they are above the law should be punished and executed. Now, in The Lion Continues, the problem of the lawless in high places never seems to go away. So, the Lion continues to go after and eliminating the real bad eggs. Having been trained to attack the enemy no matter where they might be and under any conditions, make for some action and excitement. Whether going after crooked, judges, lawyers, police, politicians or the underworld, makes no difference. Sanctions mean immediate dispatch to their ancestors. This could be anyone who violates the laws. The chase is on, the heat just keeps on rising to an optimum level and readers are challenged to follow him once again on this quest filled with electrifying encounters, death-defying situations and overwhelming conclusions.
With The Lion Continues, Gadbois' comeback will prove to be phenomenal as once again he captures the complexities of human existence, survival and search for freedom from the scoundrels to provide an unforgettable read that is fiercely disarming, unapologetically grandiose and absolutely heart pounding.
