God's Hand at Work tells the true story of Joseph Amamoo, a man whose life is marked by challenges, physical abuse, suffering but culminating in victory and success through God's miraculous hand that is at work in his life. All of his disappointments and failures indeed had a purpose. It appeared as if there was a rhyme and reason behind all the past frustrations and chain of ill luck that happened in his life and he knows that it is the hand of God that is at work in him.

Having gone through many years of a rather pleasant and fulfilling life in Britain, Europe, and Ghana, Amamoo had become a newspaper correspondent, a public relations advisor, an ambassador, a newspaper editor, a member of Parliament, government minister and a political prisoner. Representing his hometown as a member of Parliament, he was also appointed as the deputy minister of health. Among other things, as he had failed to become a doctor, it was rather thrilling and uplifting that he was in a position to deal with the concerns, issues, and problems of doctors and surgeons, both black and white.

God's Hand at Work shares with readers the good and bad experiences of a man whose faith in God has helped him overcome all the challenges of life. These experiences as narrated truthfully in this work convinced him without any shadow of doubt whatsoever that the answers to the questions about the existence of God and divine intervention in his life is a resounding Yes. He also hopes and trusts that these stories, based on true life experiences, would strengthen all believers' faith in God and also encourage agnostics and atheists that perhaps what they all term or call "coincidence" may have a meaning way beyond their understanding as mortals.

About the Author
Born and educated in Ghana and later studying law in UK, the story of Joseph Amamoo is a catalog of major challenges, physical abuse and suffering, culminating in victory and success. After working in London as a newspaper correspondent, and a public relations advisor to the Ghana Embassy in London, he was appointed an ambassador at the age of 28, thus one of the youngest in the world. He later became a newspaper editor, a Member of Parliament (Congress), a government minister and finally, for 15 horrendous months, a political prisoner. He has lived and worked in Ghana, UK and USA for several years. He has travelled in USA, Europe, India, Africa and the Middle East. He is married to an outstanding Irish woman who is a psychologist/author and they have two daughters, both lawyers and married, with five children between them. He has won some local and international awards His interests are classical music, advocacy of inter-racial harmony and marriage, reading, museums, art galleries and walking. From 1996 to 2001, he taught and wrote in Chicago. He returned to Ghana in April 2001 and was appointed chairman of the state-owned diamond mine at Akwatia. Concurrently he chaired the investigative commission that dealt with the riots and disturbances in Asutuare in 2000-2001.
