An accident happened about 10 years ago. It was a case of two groups of young kids trying to establish themselves as rival gangs. This time, however, one of them wanted to hurt the other group so they would never forget it. But tragedy struck when the youngest Italian boy falls in front of a train and is killed.

Vendetta is a murder-mystery novel written by Jon Ericson that tells the story of a serial killer who will stop at nothing in exacting revenge on Mick Thomas, Glen Brady, Billy Mayne, and Rob George as well as on their families for a crime that was committed way back when they were still a bunch of kids at Camberwell in 1989.

Ten years after, Detective Inspector Robert" Rob" George becomes a police investigator. Together with his partner Detective Alfonce "Junior" Condelletti, they investigate the death of Elisha Mayne, a brilliant young lawyer in the making, who was brutally murdered by an unknown killer. The assassin left two messages, one at the crime scene and the other, a short note, in Elisha's handbag. It appears that the killer knows Elisha's father and Rob as well. Rob tries to come to terms with what or who they could possibly know that linked them with the killer.

Soon after, Frank Thomas, the father of Mick Thomas is also murdered in a grisly fashion... Obviously, the killer is taunting Rob and is connected with Camberwell and their past. What do Elisha and Frank have in common? Who could have possibly murdered them? Who will his next victim? be? Will Rob and Junior be able to catch and bring him to justice? Or will his killing spree continue to terrorize everyone? What he and Junior Condeleti find in the process of the investigation opens up a Pandora's Box of racism and bloody grabs for power that has its roots in the early part of last century and threatens the very fabric of the Australian Democracy today. The depth of the plot is astounding and the pace is exhilarating. You can't put it down and the ending will surprise and challenge your intuitive perceptions.

Vendetta is a highly entertaining read that will take readers at the edge of their seats from beginning to end. A story of exacting revenge inflicted through pain, confusion, torture and terror, this brilliantly-written story is bound to become a sure-fire hit among readers and those who love the mystery, suspense thriller and crime genre.
