NEW YORK

Author John Shakespeare believes that too many people end up divorced and alone in today's world. Shakespeare hopes to prevent this from occurring to other women with his new poetry collection, "I Give This Poetry to You to Teach How to Marry a Man Who Is Rich" (published by AuthorHouse).

Shakespeare, once a victim of discrimination, now derives inspiration from the Bible and God. This inspiration spurred him into writing "I Give This Poetry to You to Teach How to Marry a Man Who Is Rich," which he says acts as a guiding light for women in search of love.

"Many people are single or divorced," Shakespeare begins, "and although they may have a successful career, they often are alone."

Shakespeare's collection looks to help women realize the value many men have, while arguing for the merits of financial wealth's role in a relationship.

An excerpt from the poem, "I Love You, Sweetie Pie Trust Me; I Don't Lie," taken from "I Give This Poetry to You to Teach How to Marry a Man Who Is Rich":

"A lady with extraordinary legs I will respect and treat so nice
I would carefully squeeze her and take her to paradise"
