John F. Hunt's son, Jason, was an aspiring Wilderness Educator. At only 24-years-old however, Jason fell while on vacation, and passed away from his injuries. John's new book, "Walking With Jason" (published by AuthorHouse), recalls the pain of losing a son, and his short, but incredible life.

In "Walking With Jason," John tells of Jason's path to becoming a Wilderness Educator. By fully submerging himself in Jason's world, John gains a new appreciation for the life his son led. Walking in his son's shoes, John comes to know the therapeutic power of the forest, other Wilderness Educators , the trials that come with the lifestyle as well as the causes of behavioral dysfunction that affect teens developmentally.

Through writing "Walking With Jason," John hopes to encourage others to pursue a life of being a Wilderness Educator and open readers' eyes to the potential inside themselves.

An excerpt from "Walking With Jason":

"On a cold and snowy day shortly after New Year's Jason returned from Colorado. The young man who stepped out of the car was hardly the youth my family remembered. Jason had matured and grown up. There was a steady calm about him, an awareness of self, like he had come into his own. He had discovered something in the mountains that he was certain was out there, but really had been within him the entire time."
