NORTHFORD, Conn.
Social worker and human service consultant Joan Hoey authored her new book "Purposeful Destiny" (published by Balboa Press) to help people struggling to find their highest destiny in life.
"Purposeful Destiny" urges readers to reach beyond their own limitations to find a power higher than themselves. With eight real-life stories of people who achieved this goal, Hoey's new book gives a human perspective to the intangible concept of finding one's personal higher power.
"This book will appeal to people who feel stuck, have lost hope and believe no options exist," Hoey says. "We have all been blocked at some time in our lives, longing for change and fulfillment. 'Purposeful Destiny' is an invitation to change your life - to free yourself from obstacles, break negative patterns and discover love and fulfillment."
The stories within 'Purposeful Destiny' show how real people were prompted and guided by their universal surroundings in directions better for themselves. Such actions helped these eight people overcome obstacles and unusual circumstances to find balance and positivity, something Hoey hopes her readers will also experience.
