"Edward the Magnificent": a fantastical story following an eccentric boy on an exciting journey. "Edward the Magnificent" is the creation of published author, Jimmy Wilson, who is the lead pastor of Frontline Outreach Church located in beautiful Hartwell, Georgia. The Lord spoke to him about planting a church several years ago. He felt like Moses did when God told him to go to his chosen people and set them free. Moses gave God a lot of excuses, just as Jimmy has. He says, "No one will listen. I can't speak well all the same as Moses". Moses let God do the work. He was obedient to the calling. Just as Moses did, Jimmy is the same. Excuse after excuse. Moses didn't do everything perfectly neither has Pastor Jimmy. God spoke many blessings into the life of Pastor Jimmy. He just wanted to live for God and bless his people. As God was moving more and more in his life, Pastor Jimmy felt led to start writing. Most people think because he is a pastor, the book he should write is about some great revelation from God or some great doctrinal truth. God had something different for him. He was led to write about a humorous little boy, Edward the Magnificent, as he liked to call himself. Adventurous, young inventor, and imagination builder. Shy, backward, and weird, but a heart to stretch his imagination as far as the eye can see. Jimmy is also the husband of a beautiful wife of thirty years. Tabitha is always there to help him along in life. They have three grown children, Priscilla, Holly, and JJ. Jimmy and Tabitha have four wonderful grandchildren they truly adore from the bottom of their heart. There is one more grandchild on the way at the time of this writing; another boy.
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Jimmy Wilson's new book enthralls the reader with the twists and turns Edward undertakes in his journey to follow the Lord.
Edward the Magnificent, as he liked to call himself, is a cool kid. Well, I don't know about the cool part, but he was a kid, to say the least. Spoiled to no end by his overly protective mother. Always getting his way, ready to burst into some kind of crying episode at any time.
He never wanted any photographs made of himself taken and everyone knew what would happen if someone took one. You guessed it! He cried and he cried. How can any one boy do so much crying! We all couldn't figure out how he had so much success building and creating when all he ever did was cry! Whatever the reason for his weird ways and excessive crying, Edward was able to do more stuff in his childhood than most adults five times his age! His love for food would make anyone think he was an obese kid but not Edward, thin as a stick, a stick with no bark to be exact. Edward and Alex were always up to doing good, but not the Yanklesnack bunch. Always into mischief, never really hurting anyone, but mischief just the same. All the distant relatives of Edward, like the Yanklesnacks, were always on the verge of doing good, like Edward, but not all the way. All this creative imagination that Edward possesses, who knows where it came from? It could have been his red hair that made it possible, although it could have been those special ears too! Some might guess there was a little something in those pizza freckles of his. No matter where it came from, God had something special for this young boy to say and do. No matter if readers have a sense of humor or not, they have to laugh at this young red-headed, freckle-faced, big-eared kid, ready to go on an adventure at a moment's notice.
