Inspired by a little boy in the infant program at a day care, author Ginger Duncan lives her dream and writes a vibrant picture book that will definitely captivate children's imagination with her new publication, "Jayden's Counting Walk." This story perfectly blends the wonders of nature and the essence of learning.

Jayden loves being outdoors. He and his aunt Ginger often spend a lot of time together. One day, he asks his aunt if he could do his counting walk. He basks in his freedom of exploring the outside world, where he can marvel at the beauty of nature and count these little blessings. He counts bugs, animals, trees, rocks and all the other cool things that he sees. It is a fun-filled learning that enables him to feel closer to God's creation. He discovers important things that impart a lesson he will never forget in this life.

Accompanied by lively illustrations, the colorful and attractive pages of this book introduce a wise, young man who is not afraid to explore outdoors. The author highlights the fact that one does not have to be in a classroom in order to learn and enhance one's knowledge. It can be done through an adventure that makes learning all the more worthwhile.

"Jayden's Counting Walk" will surely appeal to children who appreciate the beauty of nature. This not only an entertaining read but also a fun way of teaching them how to count.

This book will be featured at the 2014 Michigan Reading Association Book Exhibit in Grand Rapids, MI, on March 16 - 17, 2014.

About the Author
Since she was a little girl, Ginger Duncan has always wanted to write books. She enjoyed writing. However, she never entertained the thought of children's books until recently. Her career has always been working with children. She started babysitting at age 11. She has a daughter named Rhonda and she wanted to be with her all the time so her goal was to work on a job where she could be with her daughter. She achieved that goal through working in child care. She has worked in several child care facilities. For seven years, she worked in a family's home and took care of their children. She worked for eight years at a Christian school as a pre-k teacher. For the past 17 years, she worked at a hospital day care center. She found this to be very enjoyable. Staff would ask her to make cards for the children and their parents and when we took pictures of kids doing various activities, she would write little short phrases under pictures and staff, kids and especially the parents seemed to really enjoy reading them as much as she enjoyed writing them. She started working professionally with children in 1973 until 2013.
