"Children of the Wind": a riveting tale of ambition, acts of God and a town gripped by the terror of a malevolent Gypsy curse. "Children of the Wind" is the creation of published author Jay Osman, a retired public servant who spends his time writing, woodworking, attending church activities and enjoying his family. He lives with his wife, Shirley, and his Labrador, Emily, in the beautiful rolling hills of central Pennsylvania.
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Jay Osman's new book presents Harley Coolbaugh, a Pennsylvania farm boy convinced he is destined for bigger and better things in California. He runs out of money in Kansas, where he intends to find work in order to fund the completion of his journey.
Fate leads him to the Rooks County Sheriff, Ozzy Hill, who happens to be looking for a deputy and Harley will fit the bill just fine. Harley is hired and trained and his first major case is the murder of three Gypsies, which some in law enforcement have deemed unsolvable. His investigation is hampered by the townspeople, who believe that the curse imposed on them by one of the dying Gypsies is real.
Twists and turns are the rule of the day, but Harley vows to bring the killer to justice. His trip to California will just have to wait.
