Jay Arbee makes people aware of the bird smuggling and drug scene in his first published book "Cockabloodytoo" (published by Balboa Press AU), which vividly paints the effects of these illegal activities. As Arbee observes the decimation of wildlife and the rise in use of methamphetamines, the author thinks that this book is timely and appropriate due to the effect on the bird life and the extent of the drug problem.

Set in various locations around Melbourne and Victoria, Australia, "Cockabloodytoo" follows Ron, the front man who recruits odd ball characters to assist him in his endeavors. He enjoys a good scrap and is anti-establishment, although he enjoys his job, in the main calls his own shots. Together with Ron is Le Frog, who drives the whole hard hitting unit, and Bruce the cockatoo. "The individuals within the story are laid back, ordinary individuals, nothing special but get the job done in a tough manner, but not without humor."

Describing this book as a romp of a read, Arbee writes a fast-paced, good, old-fashioned goodies and baddies yarn, with more twists and turns than a fiddler's elbow. "Cockabloodytoo" is a fair smattering of action, characters, sex and humor.

A particular passage from the book:
Report back, I love this crap; you're either right alongside the action or breathing down some hoods neck, then have to break off, report in and wait for the results of the experts meeting to advise as to the best way to tackle the situation. Crap! My way of thinking is you might as well rub em out there and then, it saves a lot of time and paperwork of going back.
