Jason Keller Releases THE BALLAD OF EDISON BESTWELL

Author Jason Keller releases his new book of modern-day folklore with "The Ballad of Edison Bestwell." Highlighting good, clean literature rather than the contentious subject matter Keller believes is in popular novels to-date, his debut novel covers the old Americana feel of great folklore.

"The Ballad of Edison Bestwell" is a throwback to a more comfortable time in America's history where folklore is still alive and well. Two boys, Edison and Benjamin, are tossed back into the mystery of Benjamin's missing sister after another tragic event sends the town into chaos. Together the boys must face what is possible... and what is real.

Keller wrote this novel with the intention of reincarnate the classic folklore that once dominated the literature community. "The Ballad of Edison Bestwell" is a modern-day "Tom & Huck" that is modeled after Keller's hometown of Lucasville, Ohio.

"I was born and raised in a small farming community. I grew up without the Internet or cell phones and the nostalgia of that is slowly being lost," Keller says. "Life in a small Midwestern/southern town provided me with such a wealth of experience that is no longer available to the younger generations."

"A good story can be told without filthy language and controversial subject matter," Keller adds. "The Ballad of Edison Bestwell" returns the nostalgic feeling lost with technology and explicit subject matter.

Keller has been featured by the local paper in Portsmouth for choosing Lucasville as the location in his book, disguised as Cripple Creek. Keller was also selected as Editor's Choice for his expertly written debut novel.

About the author
Jason Keller, a former certified surgical technician, studied comparative literature at the University of Utah for three years. Born and raised in southern Ohio, he now resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he spends time playing in "the greatest snow on Earth." This is Keller's first novel.
