LONDON

In her new book, "There is a Season" (published by AuthorHouse), author Janet Killeen delivers a stirring collection of short stories on maneuvering through challenges, overcoming adversity and growing personal courage.

"I want readers to take away a profound sense of hope that we can continually draw upon the extraordinary courage of the past, the kinship and kindness of others and our own dogged reserves of faith and identity," shares Killeen. "A number of these stories deal with the First and Second World Wars. They explore its impact of grief and disorientation on soldiers, sailors, women and children left behind, and on civilian casualties. Others deal with the impact of abusive relationships on women and children and the courage needed to escape from it."

Powerful in scope and intimate in detail, "There is a Season" has something for every reader.

"There is a Season" will be a featured title at the 2014 Miami Book Fair. Celebrating its 31st anniversary in November 2014, the Book Fair will present more than 350 authors during its eight-day run.
